Leanne has loved playing the piano for as long as she can remember. Graduating with distinction from the University of Manitoba, Leanne earned Bachelor of Music (piano) and Bachelor of Education (senior years choral music) degrees, and has taught music in Winnipeg and Nottingham, England. Her piano teachers and mentors include Loren Hiebert, Marilyn Houser Hamm, Cheryl Pauls, Claudia Chen, Margaret Marshall, and her very first piano teacher - her mom - Hildie Regehr.

Leanne is an in-demand teacher, adjudicator, clinician, and collaborative pianist. She is a Manitoba Registered Music Teacher, an adjudicator through the Associated Manitoba Arts Festivals, and a Royal Conservatory of Music certified teacher for Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced levels of piano. Leanne regularly performs with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and has collaborated with musicians such as Karl Stobbe, Gwen Hoebig, Elation Pauls, Tracy Dahl, Andrew Wan, and Paul Marleyn.

She is on faculty with Pembina Trails Voices (Valdine Anderson, Artistic Director) and the Rosamunde Summer Music Academy (Elation Pauls, Artistic Director). She is also the pianist for Winnipeg’s Festival Chorus (Janet Brenneman, Conductor).

Leanne lives in Winnipeg with her husband, Garth Lee (Garth Lee Strings) and their teenage twins.
